Imagine returning home to find excrement in front of your house. And imagine it was from your delivery man. That’s one delivery that I sure wouldn’t want.
On Tuesday, a camera in Sacramento caught a woman defecating in a cul-de-sac while delivering packages.
Resident Nemy Bautista, an Amazon customer, caught the incident on his home’s surveillance cameras. The driver uses a U-Haul to shield her disgusting act. Immediately after, she gets into her vehicle and drives off.
Nemy was not home at the time of the incident. When he returned home, he noticed the excrement in the street. Then, he looked back at his surveillance cameras. He was shocked at what he found.
Bautista called Amazon to report the incident via phone and email. They also sent a Facebook post. Five hours later, Amazon finally responded. When they came to the house, they did not bring supplies to clean. Thus, Bautista was left to clean it up himself. Gross.
Amazon.com Why is your driver squatting in-front of my house? Let me give you a hint … he/she is not tying their shoes. I have it on video!
Bautista told CBS Sacramento that he suspects “the garbage can will smell like shit for the next few days…I also had to hose down the gutter/sidewalk area after [the supervisor] left.”
Bautista spoke to KCRA-TV:
The delivery company supervisor came out in his personal car and was not prepared for cleanup. He was in shock when he saw the size of ‘it.’ He ended up scooping it up with a plastic bag but didn’t want to take it with him.
Amazon also responded to the incident.
This does not reflect the high standards we have for delivery service providers. This individual is no longer delivering Amazon packages and we’re in direct communication with the customer.

Obviously, this is a strange incident for Amazon. However, forcing the customer to clean up the mess is pretty unacceptable.
By the way, there is a happy ending. Amazon gave Bautista a gift card.
