U.S. Military Decimated Under Obama, Only ‘Marginally Able’ to Defend Nation

This week, top U.S. military leaders from our armed services went in front of Congress to announce something extremely alarming; The U.S. military readiness is at an all time low-  leaving us completely unprepared to defend ourselves on our soil as well as abroad.

This is startling, and proves that our suspicions of Obama, that his main objective was to weaken the United States, allowing our enemies to take control.

The Heritage Foundation in its 2017 Index of U.S. Military Strength rated the United States Army as ‘weak’ with the other branches straggling at ‘marginal.’

According to Dakota Wood, one of the Heritage Foundation analysis, he stated:

“The U.S. military itself is aging. It’s shrinking in size..And it’s quickly becoming problematic in terms of being able to address more than one major conflict.”

Of 58 total brigade combat teams (the Army’s main combat building block), only three are considered ready for combat.

The Navy’s fleet is the smallest it has been in nearly 100 years. This makes ship repairs harder to complete, as those vessels are needed on the waterways.

Eighty percent of Marine aviation units do not have even the minimum number of aircraft they need for training and basic operations.

The Air Force is the smallest and, in terms of many of its aircraft, oldest it has ever been. The service had 8,600 aircraft in 1991 while today it only has 5,500, and those aircraft are an average of 27 years old. Worse, fewer than half of those aircraft are prepared to take on and defeat our adversaries.

The details are sobering, but luckily steps are being taken by President Trump to fix the issue.
